How to Manage Your Unit Payments in Ralph
Managing your unit payments efficiently is crucial for ensuring that all financial obligations related to your property units are met on time. The Ralph platform simplifies this process through an intuitive and user-friendly interface. Below, we will walk you through the different sections of the payment management page and explain how each part functions.
Overview of the Payments Page
Upon accessing the Payments section in your Ralph dashboard, you will see two primary areas: Unit Payments and Your Registered Bank Accounts.
1. Unit Payments
This section lists all the units you are responsible for, along with key details related to their payment status:
Unit: The unit number associated with the payment. Each unit is listed separately.
Monthly Amount: This column shows the monthly fee for each unit. If a unit has a set amount, it will be displayed here, such as "1β¬" for units 4 and 11. If no amount is set, it will be marked with a dash.
Direct Debit: This column provides information about the current payment method for each unit:
If direct debit is enabled, you will see the IBAN associated with the account and the account holder's name (e.g.,
DE00000000000000000 - RALPH DEMO
).If you don't want to use a direct debit SEPA mandate, simply select "Manual transfer every month (fees apply)."
Current Direct Debit Status: This indicates whether direct debit is active or inactive for each unit.
Active: Direct debit is set up and functioning for that unit.
Inactive: Direct debit is not set up, and payments need to be managed manually.
Transactions: The last column provides a link to view past transactions for each unit. Clicking on "View transactions" will show a detailed history of all payments related to that specific unit.
2. Your Registered Bank Accounts
This section shows the bank accounts you have registered for processing payments.
Account Holder: The name associated with the bank account, such as "RALPH DEMO."
Bank: The name of the bank holding the account. For example, "ING-DiBa."
IBAN: The IBAN associated with the registered account, which is used for direct debits.
Actions:
Deactivate SEPA: If direct debit is active for a unit, you have the option to deactivate it by clicking this button.
Add New Bank Account: If you need to register a new bank account for payments, click this link and follow the instructions to add the new account.
Adding a new bank account
You can easily add a new bank account by providing the account holder name and the IBAN. If these are correct, the platform will recognise the details of the bank automatically. However, if we cannot identify the information, you can still add a bank account by providing the SWIFT/BIC code and the Bank name.
Currently we support German bank accounts
3. Transaction history
You can access the payments history and open balances for each of the individual units
Managing Your Payments
To ensure smooth management of your unit payments:
Set Up Direct Debit: If you haven't already, it's advisable to set up direct debit for each unit to avoid manual transfers and potential fees. Select the registered bank account from the dropdown in the "Direct Debit" column.
Monitor Payment Status: Regularly check the "Current Direct Debit Status" to ensure that your direct debit is active. If it shows "Inactive," you may need to take action to avoid missed payments.
Review Transactions: Use the "View transactions" link to keep track of payments made for each unit. This will help you manage your finances and ensure all dues are paid on time.
Manage Bank Accounts: If you need to update or change the bank account used for payments, do so in the "Your Registered Bank Accounts" section. Remember to deactivate the old account if it's no longer in use.
Conclusion
Managing your unit payments through the Ralph platform is designed to be straightforward and efficient. By setting up direct debits and regularly monitoring your payment status, you can ensure that all your unit-related financial obligations are met with minimal hassle. Make sure to review transactions periodically and update your bank account details as necessary to maintain a seamless payment experience.
